Microneedling Electroporation can help to improve a variety of different concerns such as open pores, scars, wrinkles, skin laxity and uneven skin texture.
How does Microneedling and Electroporation work?
Ultra-fine needles penetrate the skin at different depths, creating micro-channels which stimulate a wound-healing response. This leads to the production of new collagen and elastin. Once the micro-channels have been created, the Electroporation technology releases electro-stimulating pulses to increase the permeability of the skin cell membrane.
This allows for increased absorption of serums applied to the skin, for hydrated, healthy skin. Microneedling combined with Electroporation significantly increases the amount of serum delivered to the skin compared with traditional microneedling treatments.
Skin Laxity
Improvements in skin laxity are achieved through increasing collagen and elastin production, for smoother, tighter and more lifted skin. Ultra-fine needles penetrate the skin at different depths and release electro-stimulating pulses, triggering a wound-healing response which leads to the production of collagen and elastin.
Results can be seen after one session, but a minimum of 3 and up to 6 treatments, at 4-week intervals, deliver the best results depending on the skin concern. Most patients see an improvement 2 to 3 weeks after the first treatment.
Results are natural but significant and get better over time, peaking at 12 weeks following the final treatment.
Scarring and Stretch Mark Removal
Scarring and stretch marks are very common concerns. The process of microneedling and Electroporation helps the body produce new collagen and elastin, which will minimise fine lines, smooth out uneven textures and reduce any discolouration for acne scars, surgical scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks. The electroporation technology, when used alongside advanced serums, will rehydrate the area of concern.
Ultra-fine needles penetrate the skin at different depths and release electro-stimulating pulses in a controlled manner, triggering a wound-healing response which leads to the production of collagen and elastin. The wounds cause trauma in the skin and encourage the body to create more collagen and elastin to heal facial or body scars. Results can be seen after one session, but a minimum of 3 and up to 8 treatments, at 4-week intervals, deliver the best results depending on the skin concern. Most patients see an improvement 2 to 3 weeks after the first treatment. Results are natural but significant and get better over time. Your results will peak at 12 weeks following the final course of treatment.
Microneedling for Hair Regrowth
Microneedling and Electroporation utilises a HD Celluma Serum to infuse the scalp with growth factors, skin proteins and vitamins designed to nourish and stimulate hair follicles. This treatment will lead to fuller, healthier-looking hair. At the beginning of the treatment, the HD Celluma Serum is applied to the scalp. EPN employs tiny, medical-grade needles to create micro-channels that pierce the scalp, pushing nourishing hair proteins directly into the hair follicles. This helps to produce more collagen and new skin cells to strengthen the hair follicles.
You will see an improved appearance in the thickness and fullness of your hair A minimum of 6 and up to 16 treatments, at weekly intervals, deliver the best results. Most patients see an improvement 4 weeks after the first treatment. Results are natural but get better over time. Your results will peak at 12 weeks following the final course of treatment.
Our Step By Step Guide To Treatments
Consultation
An initial consultation is an integral part of our treatments at Harley Skin & Laser Clinic. You will have the opportunity to discuss any skin concerns and go through your medical history with one of our experienced aestheticians, helping us to identify the most suitable treatment for your skin.
We’ll explain each stage of your treatment in detail so you know what our microneedling treatment entails. Feel free to ask questions and we will answer them openly and honestly.
During Your Treatment
The treatment will begin with your face being cleansed and prepped. The practitioner will then work their way around the treatment area gliding the EPN Pen over the skin to puncture the outermost layers and create miniscule sub-cutaneous injuries. These microscopic wounds stimulate new collagen deposition which may last for up to a year, yet they close within less than an hour.
After The Treatment
After the procedure, your skin will be red and flushed in appearance in a similar way as a moderate sunburn. You will also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch. This will fade greatly after a few hours following the treatments and within the next 48 hours your skin will be completely healed. After 2 days there is virtually no evidence that the procedure has taken place. The length of downtime and recovery time depends on the micro-needle size used for treatment. You will be informed about your predicted post-treatment appearance during consultation.
